NOTE

I just vibe coded Life XP

I’ve just started using MathAcademy to refamiliarise myself with a bunch of maths that I have forgotten since I was at university, and because I want to get a sense of what is available these days in terms of modern pedagogy and tools.

One thing I really like about MathAcademy is their XP system, where they say that one XP should roughly be equivalent to one focussed minute.

So I decided to use this as my first foray into vibe coding, and built xp.michaelashcroft.com. The public view is a dashboard of the total XP over the last seven days. I can log in and add data via an app-like interface and have much more details stats.

Vibe coding is fun. I can see myself building this out. What’s really cool is that this is bespoke ‘software’ (a perhaps overly grand term) that I can tweak and adjust to make it perfect for me, since I’m the only customer.
